This was a cool event.  The last time I attended a guitar clinic at Instrumental Music was Michael Angelo (Batio) in the 80s when the store was on the other side of the boulevard and Doug Aldrich was still giving lessons there.

George was funny from the second he came out and addressed the crowd.

He asked if he could smoke while he played.  Then he said "I bet you you’d let Slash smoke in here.”  It was classic.

He shredded along with a few backing tracks before doing a Q&A.  I learned some new stuff while watching him play.

Someone asked how he got the clean tones he did on the new Dokken album.That elicited a good laugh for the other attendees. 
George said he hasn’t been in Dokken since 1997 and that’s Don’s lawyer playing on the album.
