GREGG BISSONETTE held a master class for the CAL LUTHERAN MUSIC DEPARTMENT at the Preus-Brandt Forum.

Gregg recently became an Artist-in-Residence Faculty member at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks and will conduct master classes each semester.DSC03046

In a great afternoon with Gregg (and in addition to what is covered in the videos below), he offered some valuable advice about practicing, performing, getting gigs and keeping them (“show up on time, do your job”, etc. etc.), he discussed a proper diet for drumming, keeping hydrated, why Ringo Starr is in such amazing shape at 75 years old and many other helpful things he’s learned over the course of his illustrious career and  gave away a few of his CDs (Warning Will Robinson).

He also had various students and guests onstage to play and covered/ instructed them on different styles and concepts.

Glen Sobel, Simon Wright, Dave Lombardo, Ray Luzier, Stephen Perkins, Chad Smith and Mike Terrana announced for Bonzo Bash 2016 in Anaheim at M3 during NAMM.

The House band will be “The Moby Dicks“, who consist of Brian Tichy, Michael Devin, Brent Woods, Chas West and Stephen LeBlanc.

ULTIMATE JAM 44 Lucky Strike Hollywood Hollywood & Highland Center Hollywood, CA

Just before taking the stage to a packed crowd, the Lucky Strike Live Ultimate Jam prematurely ended due to an issue after Set #1 with the Fire Marshal and the entire second set was scrapped.

The cancelled performance would have marked the first time in 30 years that David Lee Roth of Van Halen joined guitar hero Steve Vai, bass legend Billy Sheehan of The Winery Dogs and Mr. Big, Greg Bissonette, drummer for Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band, and keyboardist Brett Tuggle, to perform some of the hits from the classic “Eat Em and Smile” album.

Previously announced guest vocalist Michael Starr/ Ralph Saenz (a.k.a “David Lee Ralph”) from Steel Panther was slated to joined Vai, Bissonette and Sheehan…
