Billy Ocean The Canyon Club 3/1/2015

Billy Ocean’s music ruled in the 80s and his career goes back even past that.
He has sold a ton of albums, his biggest songs were in movies and he has several songs that most anyone that remembers him can name off the top of their head.
He put out great albums, great lyrics and great, memorable music that has really stood the test of time.
Surprisingly, he really has as well. At 65 years, he’s almost twice as old as when he first hit major success/ the big time and he really hasn’t shown many sign of slowing down all these years later. He started out around 9:00 with “Stand Up Stand Up” and put on a spectacular vocal performance throughout. His stunning voice and his overall “coolness” has the crowd loving every second. They definitely brought it at this show.

Lucky Strike Jam Night with ROCK Against MS HOLLYWOOD, CA 2/25/2015
The week 6 jam at Lucky Strike was packed with tons of musicians from MOTORHEAD and ALICE COOPER to the most current drummers of MR. BIG and LED ZEPPELIN. Highlights of the show: The jam had Jason Bonham and Andrew Watt doing “The Immigrant Song”, Motorhead drummer Mikkey Dee playing “The Ace Of Spades” and Alice Cooper’s drummer Glen Sobel playing “I’m Eighteen”, Decked out in a DIO shirt, singing phenom Gabbie Rae threw down the vocals on “Barracuda“. She’s getting tons of great experience and her performances get stronger and stronger each time she goes out and plays. Evan Seinfeld also played on a few songs. MR. BIG Closes Out Their Tour at The Saban Theatre Beverly Hills, CA 2/22/2015
Many loyal MR. BIG fans traveled from all over the world to witness the band rock out in Beverly Hills, CA at the beautiful Saban Theatre.
After recording the latest Mr. Big album, “The Stories We Could Tell“, Mr. Big drummer Pat Torpey was replaced by Matt Starron this tour as a result of his diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease. Torpey and Starr worked together in rehearsals to get the drum parts correct for the shows. Starr is a very accomplished drummer and, given the situation, is a very suitable replacement for Pat.
Opening with Daddy Lover, Brother, Little Boy (The Electric Drill Song), the band proceeded to rock through hits of their catalog and were essentially a 5 piece band for the evening with the inclusion of Torpey during the show (“MR. BIGGER”?).
