Gary Mule Deer is a hilarious comedian. His jokes rocked (good musical humor) and he was good musician, too. He resembles Johnny Cash and even played “Folsom Prison Blues”. He’s definitely worth checking out again!

Ray Goren is an incredible young musician. Friends starting raving about him a while back before I witnessed Ray playing at the weekly Monday night jam at Lucy’s 51 in Studio City. He clearly has the heart, the chops and the vocals to be a superstar.
While they were raffling off some guitars for charity towards the end of the event, Ray took the stage and blew away everyone in attendance with an incredibly soulful version of Prince’s “Purple Rain”, complete with a shredding 3 minute solo during the performance:
Awesome! Go Ray!!
Unlike the Motley Crue situation, I doubt Sebastian Bach was ever asked to join The Doors. “Crystal Ships” sounded a bit weird. That just wasn’t his normal range.
Sebastian did a good job with the Chicago songs. That music isn’t very easy to perform.
Dave Brock of Manzarek/Krieger and Wild Child sang “LA Woman” later in the set. That was awesome. Dave is just like Jim Morrison.
