Notice the sign above the Rainbow.
Yup. That one.
Absolutely incredible!!!
Wild Child has been playing the Sunset Strip for over 20 years. Many who were in attendance at their shows at the Whisky back in the 90s were here tonight. And the Doors played at the same venue in June 1966 when they opened for Van Morrison.
This band is the real deal when it comes to paying tribute to the music of The Doors.
Led by Dave Brock, who is the closest thing to Jim Morrison you could ever imagine, this band does a remarkable job playing The Doors music with accuracy and authenticity.
They brought The Doors’ music alive.
Dave Brock is so spot-on with his renditions of Doors tunes that he actually is the singer for two of the three original, surviving members of the Doors, Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger, and has been touring with them since 2010. That’s the top of the heap right there. He is definitely the reigning “Lizard King”. And rightfully so.

They also did “When The Music Ends” when they went off air. I was then hoping for “Gloria” (and another hour of music for the enthusiastic crowd), but the bonus tune was still great. Part of me feels like I just saw The Doors in concert. Watching it again on TV just intensified that feeling. I want to see them again. And soon.
