Interview and Update on Forthcoming Lemmy Statue for The Rainbow with Travis Moore

Travis Moore, the artist creating the Lemmy Kilmister Statue for the Rainbow Bar & Grill, has completed the 18 inch maquette, froze it in his freezer and shipped it off to Provo, Utah where the foundry is located.  The piece is nearing completion and should soon  be erected in the specially constructed shrine for the Rainbow to honor the MOTORHEAD and Sunset Strip legend.

BIG STATUES is currently handling the final processes:  the translation from the maquette, the sculpt of the life-size bronze, and its casting and finishing.  Matt Glenn (Website LinkedIn Instagram Facebook Big Statues Facebook  Twitter ), owner of Big Statues has been working feverishly to complete the final details of the piece to take it from clay to wax as soon as possible.  It is expected to be at a completion point in the next few weeks, at which point, the final version will be available…

Steve Ferlazzo opened his jam this weeks with a stellar cast of musicians that jammed for hours.   It saw the debut of the resident band and three solid sets of performances from some of the other top musicians on the scene, including Nuno Bettencourt, Orianthi, Sebastian Bach, Doug Aldrich, Rudy Sarzo, Brian Tichy and dozens of other great musicians.

With such a large talent pool of players, performers, and vocalists in the scene, there are infinite possibilities for one time dream line-ups and what could possibly become longtime collaborations resulting from future  SOUNDCHECK LIVE events.
