In July 2013, while covering  The Big Drum Bonanza (Thomas Lang‘s 5 day drum camp in Ventura County, CA), I met one the camp’s participants, Peter Lust, Jr..

dsc08413Peter did a quick 30 second video for me as a student introduction, which briefly showcased his solid interviewing skills and infectious positive energy.   We got to talking more and he mentioned he was the drummer of TheFeisty Piranhas, an award winning band known for their impressive live performances, musicianship and a vast catalog of original music.  As such, the band regularly landed great gigs opening for all kinds of great big name bands of a wide range of styles in many venues throughout Southern California.  (I really enjoyed their live performances when I caught them at the Canyon Club in Agoura).

It was interesting to learn that his son, Peter Alex Lust, III, was the singer and lead guitarist of the band.

LA KISS vs. PHILADELPHIA SOUL Honda Center 6/20/2015

New LA KISS CEO Joe Windham gave his “State of the Franchise” address to season ticket holders upstairs in The Honda Center’s Club Section at The Grand Terrace before the game and was very informative regarding his forthcoming plans for the LA KISS.   In addition to talking about the future of the team and telling the fans “We are here to stay”, he also discussed improved housing for the team and a new focus for fan merchandise.  Season ticket holders already receive all sort of perks throughout the season, including a KISS concert.   Windham also announced that season ticket holders can bring two friends for free to the next game against his former team, the Arizona Rattlers this Saturday, June 27.

Interview With WHITESNAKE’S Michael Devin June 2015

On May 19th, rock icons Whitesnake released “The Purple Album” — their 12th studio release in North America via Frontiers Music SRL.   The album is a re-imagination of classic songs from David Coverdale’s time as the lead singer for Deep Purple’s Mark 3 and Mark 4 studio albums.

The tour hit the road on May 28th and will  continue in the US until the middle of August.  Following a break, the band is headed to Japan, Europe, The UK and Ireland.   

Michael Devin took time to talk with Paul Donahue, Jr. via SKYPE about David Coverdale, the Whitesnake tour, current and former band mates, his solo music and many other topics of interest.
